out into Snowflakes?  This same technique is used for Hawaiian Snow Flakes to be appliquéd to a
background in one of several techniques.  We’ll explore the right way to fold and cut the freezer paper to
make a perfect snow flake appliqué unit.  We’ll discuss and perform invisible machine appliqué methods
during class to be used to put your snowflake onto the background fabric.  Students should be able to
complete one snowflake  block during class.  These can be made into a single flake wall hanging, pillow, or
be used as the first of several blocks to be made into a table runner or wall hanging.  This is a great winter

The Ohio Star block gained great popularity during the 1930's Great Depression.  It is a block that worked
well using leftovers and scraps, along with feed sacks. Our Brunch quilt uses fat quarters in a variety of
those 30's style prints much like the feed sack cottons that farmers' wives so coveted,  In addition to this
simple beauty, you'll learn to make Prairie Points - those three dimensional triangles that border the top
and bottom.  Again, we’ll decide what we’ll have for brunch, so bring your appetite.
